Cuvée: VDF - Le Gros Locaux

Colour: Red

Grape Varieties: Gamay, Grolleau and Côt. Gamay - 30–35-year-old. Côt - 20-year-old. Grolleau - 70-year-old. 1.5 hectare – 6,500 plants/hectare. Treatment sulphur and copper and horsetail 7-12 times per year

ABV: 12.5%

Vintage: 2016

Winemaking technique: Manual harvest. Natural yeast, maceration in whole clusters of two to three weeks in concrete tank of 53hl. No SO2. Maceration at room temperature, draining juice every two days. No pigeage/remontage. Slow horizontal press. No fining or filtration.

Ageing: Mixture of concrete and barrique

Sulphur: None added

Climate: Gamay - West facing, 55 metres above sea level. Grolleau and Côt - North/South-facing at 55 meters above sea level. Oceanic temperate climate. Temperatures are never extreme, (Neither very hot nor very cold). Mild and rainy winters and cool summers and relatively humid

Soil: Gamay - Clay and limestone. Fat and dense soils. Côt and Grolleau - Clay and flint. Light and stony soil. Soil mechanically worked (discs and blade hoes)

Yield: Gamay and Côt: 35hl/ha. Grolleau: 40hl/ha
