Ham Street Wines is the project of husband & wife team Lucie & Jules, who planted four hectares of vines four years ago on the edge of the Romney Marsh.

Starting the project as a way of re-connecting with nature whilst still working full-time jobs in accounting, Lucie & Jules were quickly bitten by the regenerative agriculture bug, understanding that improving soil health, promoting biodiversity and doing as little as possible to disturb the natural balance was the key to healthy fruit, and happy wines.

Beginning in organic conversion (certified in 2022) they achieved biodynamic certification in 2024. They truly go above and beyond the minimum requirements, working with teas and plants, having been no-till since April 2020, working to the principles of regenerative agriculture. Their commitment to their vineyards is an inspiring reminder of what is possible for agriculture in the UK.

Their work in the vines caught the attention of our mutual friends at Offbeat Wines, who introduced us to them last summer.

Dan & Nic had been suitably impressed with the quality of fruit at Ham Street and with their attention to detail when it came to viticulture. They sourced a lot of fruit from Ham Street for their 2021 releases, and in return helped Lucie & Jules make their first Pet Nat in the Offbeat winery.

We're very excited to join Lucie & Jules at the beginning of their journey, we can't wait to see how they develop.
